DETAILS
This is a very well-documented crew, and remembered by many people even today.
Left: Munro with his first navigator, Arthur Spencer (right), who wrote an excellent memoir of the crew's experiences - unlike his captain, he survived the war.

Left: Jimmie Silk, navigator, who was lost with Jimmy Munro when the whole crew disappeared without trace.

Jimmie Silk, whose name appears on the signed photograph below, had actually only just joined the crew after flying his tour with the crew of P/O D.I. Jones, and Sgt Maurice Hemming (F/E), F/O T.Hodkinson, Sgts J.L.Hannah, F.Strange, and J.Brierley.
